WAR PHOTOGRAPHY: Conflict, Time, Photography at Tate Modern was one of the best photography shows we saw last year. It marks the centenary of World War One, but rather than showing the horrors of war, focuses on aftermath and the legacy of conflict — from mere seconds to many decades after an event, covering everything from the Crimean War to modern day (★★★★). £14.50, until 15 March
GUY BOURDIN: The largest UK retrospective of work by fashion photographer and artist Guy Bourdin is still on at Somerset House, with over 250 works on display, including some never seen before (★★★). £9/£7, until 15 March
ORIGAMI WORKSHOP: The Rooftop Wigwam is still open at Queen of Hoxton and tonight there's an origami workshop. Learn to make impressive paper shapes with varying degrees of difficulty fit for beginners and enthusiasts. £7.50, prebook, 7pm
BINGO IN A PUB: Every Monday, The Big Bingo Show rocks up to the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. The entertainment-themed bingo rounds are interspersed with cabaret sets. £1 a round, just turn up, from 7pm
MYSTERIOUS MATHS: French mathematician Cédric Villani is at the Royal Institution to take the audience on a journey through the world of mathematics. £12/£8/£6, prebook, 7pm
COLONISING ENGLAND: Literary cabaret Speaky Spokey presents tales of immigrants in the forbidding 1970s, at Kings Place. Author Salena Godden reads from her memoir Springfield Road sharing vivid and colourful recollections from Hastings to Jamaica. Poet and playwright, Gabriel Gbadamosi reads from his autobiographical novel, Vauxhall, a tale of Irish tinkers, rag and bone men and Nigerian immigrants. £9.50, prebook, 7pm
WELLINGTON'S WATERLOO: The Fan Museum in Greenwich hosts a lecture by military history buff Robert Evans, about the life of Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington, with a focus on the period surrounding the Battle of Waterloo in June 1815. £10/£5, prebook, 7pm
MONDAY MUSICIANS: Have a go at playing folk dance tunes from the British Isles and associated traditions at Cecil Sharp House in Camden. All instruments and levels are welcome but the event is most suitable for musicians with some knowledge of written stave notation. £5/£4, just turn up, 7pm
READING GROUP: Rich Mix Reading Group is different from other reading groups. Instead of having to read the book before coming, or pretend you’ve read it, each week read a short story and poem are read aloud at the event together, with a chance to share thoughts and comments at the same time.
