The Hampstead Theatre has managed to round up a stellar line-up of talent for its Page To Stage Drama and Literary Festival next month. Among the many experts giving masterclasses are (deep breath): Lynda La Plante, David Walliams, Meera Syal, Kate Mosse, Celia Imrie, Paul O’Grady, Tim Piggot-Smith, Ronni Ancona, Fiona Bruce, Sheila Hancock, Kathy Lette, Libby Purves, Tim McInnerny, Sylvia Young and Anthony Horowitz (who we interviewed recently).

The aim of the three day festival is to lift the lid on what goes into the making of a play – from the first glimmer of an idea to opening night and beyond. There are more than 30 talks covering everything from writing and directing to less trumpeted but equally crucial areas such as lighting, design, the role of agents and marketing and the impact of producers.

There's a great variety on offer, though our top three are shaping up as: Schtick Sisters (about women in comedy), Thriller (about writing stories that grip like an orang-utan with a vice) and White House Words (a discussion with some very big-hitting political writers).

Hampstead Theatre’s Page to Stage Drama and Literary Festival runs from 27 – 29 March 2015. All events are £12 with £10 concessions (there are also good deals if you buy multiple tickets).
