Drive Back To The Drive-In Film Club

Americana lives on...in a North London car park

While a drive-in cinema doesn't exactly mean summer is here, it certainly means it's starting to peep its head around the long, dark corner of winter. Which is why we're quite excited that Drive-In Film Club is rolling back to Alexandra Palace next month for 15 film screenings.

From the people behind Rooftop Film Club, the screenings give you a chance to watch films from the comfort of your own car. Just tune your radio into the set frequency, kick back, and pretend like you're in Grease (just us?).

New releases (Gone Girl, The Imitation Game) sit alongside classics such as Back to the Future and Pulp Fiction. And who doesn't love a Grease singalong? Good news — there are three nights to choose from (but we do advise you make sure your car companions can carry a tune). Oscar-nominated films Boyhood and The Grand Budapest Hotel are also on the programme.

There's a menu of popcorn, sweets and drinks to choose from, plus gourmet hot dogs from Popdogs. Best of all, rollerskating waiters and waitresses will bring your order straight to your car.

Drive-In Film Club  takes place 10-27 March at Alexandra Palace. Tickets are £22 per car (regardless of number of people) and need to be prebooked.

EDIT: Extra dates now added, from 9-19 May. Films added include Birdman, Pulp Fiction and The Notebook.
