EVENING TALK: Foyles on Charing Cross Road hosts Nicola Streeten and Sarah Lightman, founders of Laydeez Do Comics. NILE EXPLORER: British explorer Levison Wood has recently returned from walking the length of the Nile. As you do. Tonight he's at Mr Fogg's in Mayfair (a recreation of the Victorian home of Jules Verne's Phileas Fogg) to talk about the expedition and take part in a Q&A session. Good Cause of the Day

English Heritage property Eltham Palace in Greenwich reopens in the spring after a refurbishment, and is looking for volunteers to help with day to day running and to provide information to thousands of visitors annually. English Heritage is hosting drop in coffee sessions at Eltham Palace at 10am on Wednesday 21 January and Saturday 24 January for anyone interested in getting involved.
