Charity walks aren't rare in London, but The Big London Night Walk caught our attention. The 20km (12 mile) route takes in the sights of London at night, and, more importantly, gives participants a chance to meet the people they're helping.
Organised by the Big Issue Foundation, the walk takes place at night, replicating the way that rough sleepers tend to keep moving through the night for safety. The route will be lined with Big Issue vendors who will be sharing their experiences of living and sleeping rough in London. Walkers also have a chance to chat to the vendors at each of the four rest stops throughout the route.
You can sign up as an individual or as part of a team with a sponsorship target of £150 per person. Money raised will help provide bespoke support to vulnerable Big Issue vendors
The Big London Night Walk takes place on Friday 6 March. Entry is £25 per person, or £100 for a team of 5. Register here or find out more.
