Tickets go on sale at 9am today for The Magical Ice Festival, the Disney On Ice tour which comes to Wembley next April.

The tour whistles into town every year, exciting youngsters and the young at heart in a flurry of sequins, songs and skates. We're promised that The Magical Ice Festival will be the biggest Disney On Ice tour yet, with Mickey and Minnie guiding the audience through the world of Disney. Their encounters with characters from The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Tangled will please Disney fans of any age, but under 10s will be particularly enthralled. Anna and Elsa from Frozen will also be putting in an appearance. Altogether now: Let it goooooo...

The show lasts for approximately two hours, with a 15 minute interval to get all the fidgeting out of the way. If your child is under two years old and will be sitting on your lap for the performance, you won't need to get a ticket for them. Keep the excitement at bay in the run up to the show by downloading colouring and maze games from the Disney On Ice website.

If your kids can't wait until April to see their favourite characters, there are still some tickets left to see Disney On Ice: 100 Years Of Magic at the O2 over Christmas. 65 Disney characters from 18 classic Disney films including The Lion King and Toy Story take to the ice.

The Magical Ice Festival takes place at SSE Arena in Wembley, 23-26 April. Tickets on sale at 9am today. Disney On Ice: 100 Years Of Magic is at the O2 24 December-4 January.

Nearby: There are several restaurants just round the corner from Wembley Arena at London Designer Outlet, including TGI Fridays, Pizza Express and Frankie & Benny's. The Play Park is right outside the shopping centre. Wembley Stadium National Rail station has step-free access, but Wembley Park Underground station has reduced step-free access until April.

If you're going to the O2, there are plenty of restaurants on site, including Harvester. Go bowling at Brooklyn Bowl, or treat the kids to a trip on the Emirates Air Line. Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park is a 15 minute walk away. To make the day really memorable, how about arriving by boat?

We've rounded up the best children's shows going on in London this Christmas into one handy article, so whether your mini theatre-goers are into Room on the Broom, Peter Pan, or festive classic The Snowman, there's bound to be something to enchant them.
