CHRISTMAS FAIR: The Country Living Christmas Fair is at the Business Design Centre, offering you the chance to get your home ready for Christmas. The Lifestyle Theatre offers craft, food and life skills workshops, plus there's a chance to sample artisan food and drink in the Food Hall. At the Gala Evening on 13 November you can buy gifts in a relaxed environment, from brands you won't find on the high street. £13 adult/£5 child, prebook, 12-16 November

EXHIBITION: Mum, Dementia and I opens today at Bernie Grant Art Centre. Annemarie Anang shares her experience of living with a mother who has dementia, through a series of intimate photographs. Free, until 23 November

PADDINGTON TRAIL: By now, you surely know that statues of Paddington Bear are appearing around London to coincide with the release of a new film. For the rest of the week, there are free guided walks of the eight bears which reside in Paddington. Hear about the designer of each one and see locations where the film was shot. WILD UNCOVERED: The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation has an art exhibition at Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane. Wild Uncovered showcases the talent of three up and coming artists: Simon Max Bannister, David Filer and Emily Lamb. Fifty percent of sales will support the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. LUNCH BREAK: Learn more about the life and work of fashion photographer Horst by joining a free lunchtime talk led by Susanna Brown, the exhibition curator at the V&A. This event is connected to the exhibition Horst: Photographer of Style. Free, just turn up, 1pm

CITY CRYPTS: Nearly all the churches of the Cities of London and Westminster had or still have crypts full of coffins. Tonight, Revd Dr Malcolm Johnson gives an illustrated talk on these crypts at Guildhall Library. £5, prebook, 6pm

LONDON'S RAILWAYS: Leading transport commentator and author Christian Wolmar is at London Transport Museum in Covent Garden to talk about how London was shaped by railways, including the 878 arches on the Greenwich line. GAMING GENERATION: Three of the UK’s most respected female video gamers, Helen Lewis, Ellie Gibson and Leigh Alexander, are at Trouble Club in Soho talking about  how to get on top of your game in the digital age. £10, prebook, 7pm

LIVE MUSIC: The Hut People bring their combination of exotic percussion, accordion music and dance to Cecil Sharp House in Camden. £12, prebook, 7.30pm

SHAKESPEARE REWORKED: An opera singer, towering puppets, ballerinas and a performing dog make for a heavily reworked version of Shakespeare's A Midsummer's Night Dream at Barbican. Director Dmitry Krymov focuses on amateur actors and 'rude mechanicals'. £16-£35, prebook, 7.45pm, until 15 November

Good Cause of the Day
