IMPERIAL COLLEGE: The People Who Are Keeping Me Alive is a new photographic exhibition organised by Imperial College, starting today at their headquarters in South Kensington. The exhibition focuses on 20-25 individuals from three different hospitals, who are responsible for the care of one cancer patient, Rina Dave. Free, until 30 November

TOILET EXHIBITION: To mark World Toilet Day, My Toilet charity launches a photography exhibition documenting stories of women and girls and their toilets from around the world. It takes place at the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery and aims to build a visual representation of the day to day reality of using their toilets, and the effect this has on their lives, both positive and negative. FILM SCREENING: JW3 in North Finchley hosts a screening of Besa: The Promise, an award-winning documentary about a group of heroic Albanian Muslims who rescued Jews during WWII. £12, prebook, 6pm

WALLACE STEVENS: Poet in the City presents a celebration of poet Wallace Stevens at Kings Place. In this special event exploring his life and work, hear live readings of classics like The Emperor of Ice Cream and The Man with the Blue Guitar. The event also features live poetry and discussion from a host of acclaimed speakers, including award winning novelist Ali Smith, broadcaster Sarah Churchwell, President of the Royal Academy Christopher Le Brun and poet Lachlan McKinnon. £9.50/£11.50, prebook, 7pm

LONDON SOUNDS: The Social in Oxford Circus hosts Ian Rawes from the London Sound Survey. During the evening, listen to rarely and never-heard recordings of the city’s life from the 1950s back to the late 1880s. £3, prebook, 7pm

COMEDY: See comedy hurricane Will Adamsdale tonight at The Invisible Dot in King's Cross. £8/£6.50, prebook, 7.30pm

SUPPER CLUB: Enjoy a three-course vegetarian dinner from The Brixton People’s Kitchen and help to raise funds for their monthly community meals cooked with and for local people in Brixton. The event takes place in a location close to Vauxhall, venue is confirmed after booking. £22, prebook, 7.45pm

GO EXPLORING: The North Face Summit Tour takes place tonight at Conway Hall. The evening includes the screening of four adventure films, talks from climber James Pearson and Caroline Ciavaldini, giveaways and prizes. £10/£9, prebook, 8pm

THINK, DRINK, DO: Head to The Crypt on the Green in St James Church Clerkenwell for an evening of creative talks. Guest speakers are Simon Fox from Playlab and Cath Richardson, a user researcher at the Government Digital Service (GDS), who will talk about creative human behaviours. £10, prebook, 7pm

Good Cause of the Day
