Street Artist RUN Presents His First Gallery Show

Italian artist Giacomo Bufarini aka RUN has been on the street art scene for a long time, since he started getting attention for his work back in the 1990s. From painting murals on abandoned walls back in Italy, his prolific career has taken him all over the world, including China and Senegal.

For the first time in his career he's presenting a gallery exhibition, in the eclectic and inspirational Shoreditch-based art hub that is Howard Griffin Gallery. The result will make you gape — this is what happened to us. If you've been there before, it'll be difficult to recognise the small gallery space once you step through its door.

Parabola di G. is a semi-autobiographical story told by the artist through a series of pen and ink drawings, as well as an immersive paper installation. The protagonist of the story, G, goes on an adventurous journey entering an imagined parallel world where he finds enchanted landscapes and meets scary creatures. The story, unravelling both on the drawings and on the walls, creates an engaging visual experience for the observer.

It took RUN over one month of hard work to complete the installation, and the result is just stunning. This is one of the best exhibitions we've seen so far at the gallery.
