If you're looking for a reason to party as the winter nights draw in, what better excuse is there than celebrating the birthday of Winston Churchill?
An adults-only, after-hours party takes place at the historic Churchill War Rooms on 27 November, marking what would have been the famous Prime Minister's 140th birthday. Guests can take part in a themed silent disco (swing takes on pop), drinks tasting and cocktail mixing workshop, all with an air of the '40s about them.
There's a pop-up bar where you can grab some food and the gift shop will be selling vintage gifts and souvenirs. You can also get your photo taken in the photo booth — with Churchill style props provided — for the chance to win a prize.
All guests will receive a complimentary gin cocktail or soft drink on entry, courtesy of sponsors Fever-Tree and Boodles Gin, as well as a slice of birthday cake and a goody bag to take away at the end of the night.
Churchill's Birthday Late takes place at Churchill War Rooms in Whitehall on Thursday 27 November, 7pm-1opm. Tickets are £17.50 (or £14 concessions) and need to be booked in advance.
