After nearly two weeks of celebrity-packed cinemas and paparazzi-filled press lines,  The London Film Festival is rolling up its red carpet once again at the close of another year of big-screen delights.

Last night's closing film — the premiere of Fury — brought stars including Brad Pitt, Michael Pena, Shia Le Beouf and director David Ayer to the capital, as it was announced that this year's event saw its highest turn-out ever, with 163,300 in attendance across its 17 venues.

The event has certainly been packed. We spoke to a host of the stars of the film industry to ask them about their offerings at the event. Watch out for Mike Leigh, Nick Hornby, Jack O'Connell, Reese Witherspoon, Alan Rickman, James McAvoy and Laura Carmichael.

The festival's jury singled out a handful of films for its awards. They were presented to: Russian political thriller Leviathan as Best Film; Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy's Ukrainian drama The Tribe, acted out entirely in sign language, as Best First Feature (Sutherland Award); Ossama Mohammed and Wiam Simav Bedirxan's arresting  Silvered Water, Syria-Self Portrait for Best Documentary (Grierson Award); and Sameena Jabeen Ahmed, playing a girl on the run from her Pakistani family in West Yorkshire in Catch Me Daddy, as Best British Newcomer.
