The Crawley Family leave their luxurious Hampshire castle for a day and come down to London. And it's for a good cause, too.

Downton Abbey Festive Readings takes place at the Church of St George’s in Hanover Square on Tuesday 25 November. Actress Penelope Wilton who plays Isobel Crawley and other members of the cast will read Christmas tales to Downton fans. Names confirmed are: Laura Carmichael who plays Lady Edith, Charles Carson who plays The Butler, Tom Branson who plays The Chauffer and series writer Julian Fellowes.

During the evening there will also be music from The Salvation Army plus the opportunity to ask questions to the cast directly. The event is hosted by employment charity Tomorrow's People.

Tickets cost £45 including refreshments, all proceeds go to Tomorrow’s People, in order to help disadvantaged adults and young people to get and keep a job. We suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.
