London Without Limits: Bradley Garrett Talks Urban Exploring

The 'Lucky Charms' sewer junction.

Friend of Londonist and dedicated 'place-hacker' Dr Bradley Garrett will be giving a talk about his adventures in forbidden places across the capital this Sunday at Southbank Centre. He'll explain how and why he sneaks into secret tunnels and onto the rooftops of unfinished buildings, and showing his amazing pictures that prove this city is ours goddamit, it's ours.

We talked to Garrett before in our Londonist Out Loud podcast where he explained to N Quentin Woolf what it was like intercepting Joseph Bazalgette's interceptor sewer. We also recently had a good flick through his book of eye-opening snaps shot underground the city, Subterranean London.

His talk, Explore Everything, is at Southbank Centre's Purcell Room at 4pm on 12 October — whether he'll be coming through the skylight on a zip-wire to take his place on the stage remains to be seen.
