This Saturday 4 October, cycling in London gets a serious speed injection as Parkour Ride spins into town.

The all-day event takes over Tobacco Dock’s 10-storey car park, with riders racing off in a series of stunt-stuffed multi-discipline elimination tournaments. BMX, mountain, fixed-gear and road bike riders go helmet-to-helmet, contending with specially-designed circuits packed full of jumps, pinch points, chicanes and obstacles.

Multiple Tour de France stage winner David Millar, Mountain Bike Downhill World Champion Manon Carpenter, former World BMX Champion Liam Phillips, bronze medalist from this year’s BMX World Championships Try Whyte, and MTB pro Sam Pilgrim will all be taking to the saddle and aiming to be first past the finish line. There'll be a few non-pros on the circuit too — trying their luck against the major leaguers and making things interesting.

Add a backdrop of visuals, projections, lighting and music — with Red Bull Music Academy DJs occupying an entire storey — and you've got one seriously cool bike park. The races go through this dedicated music floor too, so you can sit back with a drink and enjoy the beats while watching competitors zip past.

Food comes courtesy of Death by Burrito, and if you take time out at one of the bars, food stands or DJ areas, you needn’t miss out on the action — screens linked to cameras around the car park are on every level.

Now get yourself into gear by watching the trailer below.

Parkour Ride takes place this Saturday 4 October, 5-11.30pm at Tobacco Dock, E1W 2SF. Tickets cost £15 for adults and £5 for under 16s, and can be bought online.
