Best Gigs In London This Week: 27 October-2 November 2014

Tom Du Croz from LondonGigGuide selects four small/medium gigs around town this week.

Monday 27 October

Habitats, Old Blue Last, Shoreditch

Three-piece London act Habitats have a one month residency at the Old Blue Last. As well as playing themselves, they'll be introducing audiences to some great up-and-coming acts. @HabitatsMusic @theoldbluelast

Tuesday 28 October

The Starkins & Glass Caves,Buffalo Bar, Highbury and Islington

This week's double bill. This single is launched the day of this gig. The band are from York and the surrounding area and have youthful exuberance by the bucket load.

Wednesday 29 October

Fifi Rong, Barfly, Camden

Strange, chilling, beautiful and that is just her voice.  Originally from Beijing, Fifi Rong is a unique singer-songwriter and producer currently living in London — catch her at this gig. @fifirong @TheBarflyHQ

Friday 31 October

Cosines, The Windmill, Brixton

This week's shameless favourite is Cosines' Hey Sailor Boy!

Cosines are a mathematical pop band from north London - which is a bit weird but then so are they.  "Boy I love you, but I'm a girl Pirate," they merrily sing.  We don't understand them but we like them. Quite a lot. Catch them at this Halloween Spooktacular. @cosinesband  @WindmillBrixton

Saturday 1 November

La Luz - Shackle Arms, Dalston

This female four piece from Seattle play moody, dreamy surf guitar tracks. This is their only UK date before they head home.  @laluzers @ShacklewellArms
