If you see a green Routemaster going around the streets of London in the next few weeks, here's why. After the huge success of this summer's architectural tours on heritage buses, National Trust has teamed up again with Arriva Heritage Fleet to bring Londoners three more tours.

The restored 1962 Green Line Routemaster is confirmed for the autumn run-out: hop on board one of the green double-deckers for special tours conducted by distinguished architectural commentators. To learn about the capital's unique skyline, get your ticket now for one of these discovery journeys starting on Saturday 27 September:

  • Visions of Utopian Living: Architecture specialists John Allan, Magnus Englund and Charlie Warde unravel the utopian character of London's iconic buildings on Saturday 27 September, 10.30am
  • 60s Society and Style: Led by author and broadcaster Richard Weight, this tour explores the impact of 1960s society and style in London's architecture on Saturday 4 October, 10.30am
  • The Goldfinger Tour: Follow architectural historian Joe Kerr on the trail of famous architect and furniture designer Ernö Goldfinger on Saturday 11 October, 10.30am

Tours last approximately five to six hours, with stops along the way and some walking. Tickets are £25 for adults and £20 for concessions, and can be bought in advance online. Starting point is still tbc; you'll receive an email with more tour details once you book your ticket.

This event celebrates the Year of the Bus: find out more about Year of the Bus events and activities or tweet your bus thoughts and photos using #yearofthebus.
