Camden Fringe
London’s biggest performing arts festival, Camden Fringe, is well under way. Every day throughout the festival, we’ll be bringing you our pick of shows to catch that day. Today’s suggestions are below:
Othello, as interpreted by Erratic Dramatics, sees the eponymous character as a 1980's corporate traider tasked to oversee a takeover of a failing business in Cyprus, amidst a bidding war with a Turkish corporation. At Moors Bar Theatre, until 10 August.
The Thom Tween Show is a comedy show described, somewhat contradictorily as dark and fluffy. We're expecting some colourful language. At The Phoenix Artists Club, 7 and 10 August.
Duelling Productions are rather ambitiously putting on a performance of Alan Ayckbourn's The Norman Conquests Trilogy. The trilogy focuses on a dysfunctional group of relatives, and each play shows the same series of events from a different perspective in the house. Tonight is a double bill of Table Manners & Living Together. At Theatro Technis, until 9 August.
Good Cause of the Day
From next Monday, Antifreeze Festival takes place in Camden in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, until 20 August. It's an arts festival, taking place across six nights.
