SUMMER NIGHTS: The ever-popular Camden Lock Night Market is back. The main focus is international street food, accompanied by live music, film screenings and late night shopping. Every Thursday 7 August-4 September

CRAFT BEER: Paper Dress Vintage shop in Shoreditch hosts a free-entry evening celebrating craft beer and spirits. Mingle with drink producers and discover unusual tastes. Free, just turn up, from 6pm

FOOD POP-UP: Get Stuffed touring food company is serving a special one-off menu of Blue Food at The Peckham Pelican. Expect food inspired by the Delta and the Mississippi rivers: pork, beans, sausages and more. 6pm-10pm

BUSINESS TALK: Listen to Karen Lynch and Ewan Marshall talking about how to access the market with your business. The event takes place at Impact Hub in King's Cross and is part of their Start Up Season. £25, prebook, 6.30pm-8.30pm

LIVE MUSIC: Listen to 1940s-inspired jazz played by Ma Polaine's Great Decline, live at the Green Note in Camden Town. £7+bf, prebook, 7pm

GUIDED TOUR: Explore the area of Canary Wharf with Occupy Tours London. Meeting point is outside the main exit of Canary Wharf tube station, tour lasts approximately two hours. Free, prebook, 7pm

OUTDOOR SCREENING: Enjoy an outdoor screening with movies by pioneering Edwardian cinema director Georges Méliès. The screening take place in the garden of the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill. £10, prebook, 8pm

CARIBBEAN SPEAKEASY: The Chelsea-based Goat turns into a 1920s Speakeasy with a Caribbean flavour. Expect themed cocktails, reggae music, flamingos and inflatable parrots. Prebook a table by email (with a round of cocktails on them), from 8pm

See the reinterpretation of the Shakespeare's drama, Demetrious Unchained intertwines science fictions with science facts. At Etcetera Theatre, until 24 August

The Real Inspector Hound is an intricate and mysterious play brought on stage by The Wonder theatre company. All begins with a madman at large, cut phone lines and a dead body. At Upstairs at the Gatehouse, until 24 August

Big dreams are confronted with reality in Nalika de Silva, which tells the story of a half English and half Shri Lankan girl living in London. At Canal Cafe Theatre, until 22 August


Good Cause of the Day

Book your tickets ahead for Cricket in the City charity event, happening on Monday 8 September. Taking place at The Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) in Moorgate, the match will involve some of the greatest cricketers of past seasons. The first innings starts at 2pm, followed by an afternoon tea break: the event is ideal for families and children pay half price for a ticket. The event fundraises for The SCT — Sick Children's Trust. £10/£5, prebook, from 2pm
