T-Shirt Printing
Battersea Park Children's Zoo's Artist in Residence, Beatrice Von Preussen, is presiding over t-shirt printing workshops on Tuesday. There are four workshops of 45 minutes each — you have to register on the day, so get there early to avoid disappointment.
Usual entrance fee +£2.50, just turn up, Tuesday 5 August, 11am-2.30pm
Edwardian Games
As part of the weekly Big Wednesday series of events, Horniman Museum in Forest Hill has a day of Edwardian-themed japes. Have a go at zoetrope animation, get your face painted (£), learn about mini beasts from a wildlife expert, make a mini rocking horse, and take part in a story trail.

Child Sailors
The National Maritime Museum's Caird Library offers families a chance to learn about the child sailors of Nelson's Navy through a series of activities and workshops.

Tudor Battle
Nestled in a dry dock in Borough, Golden Hinde II lets children experience a Tudor battle. Whisked back to the 16th century, they will experience life on the ship, practise defending it, and learn how to tend to those wounded in battle.

Art In The Gardens
The Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green hosts a day of crafty activities in the garden, so fingers crossed for sunshine. Make a clay character, flaunt a flamboyant hat or headdress, fashion together a mobile or design a t-shirt.
