Street food and nightlife are two of Camden Town’s better known attributes, and they unite at Camden Lock Night Market, beginning this Thursday and running for five weeks.
As daylight fades, the street food vendors of the area will fire up their grills and hot plates again to feed the evening revellers. Our mouths are watering just reading about the food on offer, from burgers to sushi, and vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are also available.
From 6pm, the market will play host to local musicians and DJs, including Eastern European influenced collective The Turbans, so markert-goers can kick back and relax, or oil the wheels with a beer or cocktail from the bars at the Market, then take part in a ping pong match courtesy of Pongathon.
Backyard Cinema will also bring pop-up screens back to the Lock, but at time of writing, the only tickets remaining are for This Is Spinal Tap and The Amazing Spiderman 2 on 3 and 4 September, and we reckon they’ll go fast.
