See A Week Of Comedy In Balham

We're a bit slow off the mark telling you about this comedy festival in Balham (sorry), but there's still plenty of good stuff happening for the rest of this week — including an appearance by Paul Daniels and the lovely Debbie McGee. We thought you'd like that. Not a lot, but we thought you'd like it.

You can see shows from Milton Jones, Kerry Godliman, Tony Law, Stephen K Amos and Shappi Khorsandi among others, plus a work in progress gig from Phill Jupitus and a preview of Richard Herring's Edinburgh show. If you've got a baby and are miffed at having to rely on sitters before you're able to go out anywhere, take mini you to the comedy club hosted by Lucy Porter on Thursday afternoon. You can also get a taste of The Bedford's regular Friday and Saturday night line-ups with best of Banana Cabaret shows.

The Balham Comedy festival runs until 19 July at The Bedford at 77 Bedford Hill, SW12. Shows are £10-£16 + booking fee, apart from the Screaming with Laughter parent and baby gig, which is £8 + booking fee. Some money saving double bill tickets are available.
