Dine Suspended 100 Feet In The Sky Above Greenwich This Summer

You can take your al fresco to new heights this summer, with the return of sky-high dining experience London In The Sky.

Each event sees 22 people strapped into harnesses — more comfortable than it sounds — and winched up on a dining platform, 30m into the sky.

In recent years diners have been dangled above Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, and Chelsea, with a different London location most years. This year London In The Sky are returning to Greenwich, to a space near The O2, with views across the peninsula.

The only catch is an inevitable one — those sunset views don't come cheap. Dinner tickets start at £169 a person, which includes three courses, two glasses of wine, and an hour up in the air. Sunset views are a feature. (Toilet breaks aren't, so plan accordingly.)

There are multiple flights a day — including breakfast, lunch, and a cocktails-only flight, which are all slightly shorter, and cheaper, than the dinner tickets. Spaces are, obviously, quite limited — if you are into it you’d do well to book sharpish.

London In The Sky is running till 26 September, 2021, at The O2.

The events run through sun and rain as there is cover from above, the only time it might be paused for activity is if there are strong winds — in that event, London In The Sky would offer transfers or refunds for tickets.
