London Connection Puzzle

Congratulations to Naomi Gilbert who was first to guess last week's connection (from just two clues). HOXTON STREET, PARLIAMENT STREET, KINGLY STREET and DUKE OF YORK STREET are all the locations of pubs called The Red Lion. A new puzzle starts tomorrow.

From the Archive

We know Monday mornings can be tough, which is why we've chosen today to remind you of the images of London made out of food that we shared last year. That's St Paul's Cathedral made from bread and even an edible recreation of Van Gogh's Sunflowers.

Pub of the Day

Today we're declaring the Anglesea Arms in South Kensington as our pub of the day. It's one of those places that simply gets everything just right, from welcoming staff to a wide selection of ales to top notch food. Given the footfall of tourists, students and local workers in the area, there are surprisingly few good pubs to match. This one's the best. See over 230 other recommendations on our Best Pubs in London microsite.
