A tangible timeline of transport history stretched down Regent Street on Sunday. TfL and London Transport Museum organised for a cavalcade of about 50 buses to flank the central London thoroughfare. They ranged from horse-drawn vehicles, to Thomas Heatherwick's new Routemaster, which was ushered onto the capital's streets in 2012. The cavalcade was part of the ongoing Year of the Bus celebrations.

Thanks to McTumshie for the use of his pictures, from the Londonist Flickr pool. This is just a taster of his snaps from the event. A more in-depth write-up of the event, with many more photos, can be read over on Diamond Geezer's blog.
