Fairground's Last Day: Watch Future Shorts And The England Game

If you haven't been to Fairground in Haggerston yet, it's your final chance this weekend — and there's an excellent excuse with Future Shorts screenings on Saturday 15 June.

Future Shorts is the sister of Secret Cinema, so you can be sure it knows its 35mm from its DigiBeta. The films start at 7pm and those selected have been given approval by Sundance Film Festival, Berlinale, Bafta and more. If you'd like to monitor your spending you can also pick up a set price food and drink offer: £7 gets you a beer or cocktail and a choice of snacks, £10 gets you a beer or cocktail and some more substantial food (one of the options is a courgette flower fritti — fancy), or pay £12 for a beer or cocktail and a more full-on meal.

Island Records takes over Fairground all day Saturday, with talks, workshops and DJs until 3am. You can also catch the England v Italy game after the films, with food available til late. Fairground is free entry all day on Saturday, but the Future Shorts screenings cost £8.
