Best Gigs In London This Week: 9-15 June 2014

Tom Du Croz from LondonGigGuide selects five small/medium gigs around town this week.

Tuesday 10 June

Violet Sion, The Good Ship, Kilburn

This London singer/songwriter counts Fleetwood Mac as a major influence and you can definitely hear that in this track. Her forthcoming EP ‘Gold’ is set for release some time this year and she presents that tonight. @VioletSion @thegoodshipNW6

Thursday 12 June

Rum Buffalo, The Magic Garden, Battersea

Welcome to a world of Rum Buffalo. It’s full of western swing and bastardised bluegrass. @magic_pub

Friday 13 June

Bella Loka, St Pancras Old Church, King’s Cross

This gig is to launch the new EP from this Camden Town-based, indie pop duo who have just recorded their debut EP at Abbey Road Studios with the in-house producer Rob Cass. For those who are worried about going to a gig in a church — there is still booze available. @bellalokamusic @OldStPancras

Saturday 14 June

Passport to Stockholm / The Mispers, Bush Stock — various venues around Shepherds Bush

Bush Stock is one of the best one-day festivals in London. There are 28 bands playing across the day — the two above are my favourite but all the acts should be decent. Tickets are £27.50. @ptsofficial/@themispers

Sunday 15 June

We Used To Make Things, Hackney Attic, Hackney

We are massive fans of this band. They normally perform as a very loud eight-piece, but they also do smaller acoustic sets like this gig. The rest of the line up is pretty stunning too with Oh Sister and Hattie Whitehead (both previous guests of our show) also playing. @WUTMT
