ART: Internationally famous photographer Steve McCurry tells us about his ongoing relationship with Afghanistan’s people, culture and landscape at the Beetles+Huxley gallery. He’s the author of the iconic portrait The Afghan Girl, which has become a worldwide symbol since its first publication back in 1985. Free, until 7 June

FREE MUSEUM: Florence Nightingale Museum celebrates the birthday of its heroine and offers free entry to everyone throughout the day. Free, just turn up, 10am-5pm

ART TALK: See artist Clifford Owens in conversation with curator Daniella Rose King, talking about his recent debut show at and Cornerhouse in Manchester, which marks his European debut. The talk takes place at Iniva art centre. £5+bf, prebook, 3pm

Good Cause of the Day
