By tomorrow evening the tube strikes will be over, the bank holiday weekend will be in sight...and the Carnaby Street Shopping Party will be in full swing.
For one night only — 1 May — shoppers in the famous Soho street can get 20% off in over 100 stores in the area. From international brands such as Vans and The Kooples, to more unusual boutiques such as Johnny Cupcakes, the infamously eclectic mix of the 13 streets now collectively known as Carnaby will be a shopper's dream.
There are several events going on around the area too. Ticket holders can get a free Whyte Wine Spritzer from the Whyte & Brown pop-up bar in Kingly Court.
Fashionistas should keep an eye out for the team from Grazia magazine, who will be snapping images of the best-dressed shoppers and offering goody bags to those who make the cut. Grazia's Editor at Large, Angela Buttolph, will answer fashion questions at The Book Exchange in Kingly Court.
Benefit will be offering free makeovers, Superga will be customising shoes live in store, Bolongaro Trevor will have a treasure hunt going on, plus, there will be live music from The Struts and Elle & The Pocket Belles. Find out more about these events here. Can we take that white wine spritzer now please?
Once you've shopped till you've dropped, head to the restaurants and bars of the area — many of these are offering 20% off too, so it'd be rude not too. International cuisines include tapas, Asian, and Thai. For the health conscious, there's a juice bar, but you'll find us elbow-deep in burger grease at The Diner.
