Ticket Alert: Luna Cinema On Sale Today

A previous Luna Cinema experience

Last year, many Londoners enjoyed the Luna Cinema experience. There's a lot to be said for watching a classic flick like Back To The Future or Top Gun in a delightful alfresco setting such as Hampton Court Palace, Dulwich Park or Kew Gardens.

The good news is that Luna Cinema is back this year, and following yesterday's pre sale, tickets go on general sale at 9am today. Go to the website to buy tickets for open-air cinema screenings across the capital and beyond.

Highlights of this year's programme include the opulence of The Great Gatsby in the regal setting of Kensington Palace, and for the brave, Jaws at Brockwell Lido. Da-nun. Da-nun....

The public can also vote for which films which be shown on certain nights. Public vote screenings take place at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre on 31 August and Brockwell Lido on 18 September.

Prices vary depending on date and location, but when you can watch films with a backdrop of great views of London for not a lot more than the cost of a regular cinema ticket, it'd be rude not to. Bring your own picnic and blankets/chairs, and soak up the atmosphere. From experience, we recommend coming preparing for all weathers - our shoes still squelch from a mid-Grease downpour last year.

Premium tickets are available for a little bit extra, which include a director's chair from which to watch the film, a complimentary drink at the Luna Bar, and a Benefit Goody Bag

Luna Cinema runs at various locations across London 2 July-28 September. See what's on here. Tickets went on sale at 9am today, various prices.
