FREE FILM FESTIVAL: A rich programme of free films in unusual venues characterises the New Cross and Deptford Free Film Festival, which will last for nine days. You can just turn up and enjoy the film in most of the venues. Free, until 4 May

ART SCREENING: Parasol Unit Foundation in Angel hosts a whole-day screening of New Dream Machine Project II, an art project realised back in 2013. The short film explores the relationship between Beat Culture and Middle-Eastern artistic traditions. Free, just turn up, until tomorrow open 10am-8pm

ALLY PALLY: Experience a fun and wild Segway Rally in the park of Alexandra Palace. The event runs until Sunday 27 April and we bet tickets will sell fast. £24.50-£37, prebook, 9am-2pm

FWW GUIDED WALK: The Wild Colonial Boy is the title of this walk led by a Blue Badge London guide. Explore the vital contribution and sacrifice of Britain’s Empire during the Great War, walking through London’s Green Park war memorials.
