Have you ever taken a picture of yourself? Well, if not, you might be out-of-fashion. The selfie seems to be an unstoppable social trend, and the term was named 'Word of 2013' by Oxford Dictionaries. We dipped into our pool of Flickr contributors to find  a few funny self-celebration pictures taken around London.

Many thanks to the photographers for allowing us to use their images via Flickr: Gareth, Ed takes photos, Pete Repka, Blair Kay, Renate Eder, Maki Aoyama, snappy_snapz, Mike Murphy, Maggie Jones, John Kortland, Niels Stolte and tubb.
