The Best Gigs To See In London: 21-26 April 2014

Tom Du Croz from LondonGigGuide selects his recommended small and medium-sized gigs around town this week.

Monday 21 April

Jordan Laughlin, The Old Queen's Head, Essex Road

This gig sounds like a great way to spend your Bank Holiday Monday. Its a full day of live music, with 12 acts playing over two floors. If that wasn't enough there is also a Pub Quiz and 50's tunes from the DJs.

Tuesday 22 April

Spring Offensive, Hoxton Square, Bar and Kitchen

This track is from this Oxford band's forthcoming debut album 'Young Animal Hearts', which was released last month.

Wednesday 23 April

Tara Minton, The Boogaloo, Highgate

Another great night organised by a performer, and so cutting out those pesky promoters! Tara shows how versatile the harp can be.

Thursday 24 April

Hannah Scott, The Garage, Highbury & Islington

This gig is the launch party for Hannah's second EP which, like this track, is also called 'The Space In Between'.

Friday 25 April

Cable Street Collective, Sebright Arms, Hackney

A couple of weeks ago I heard a track from this band's forthcoming debut EP, which is out in June — and it sounds brilliant. They spent April in the studio recording the rest of the EP but are now back gigging and just announced that they will be playing the Secret Garden Party.

Saturday 26 April

Sadie Fleming, Proud, Camden

Another epic, full day of live music! Gig starts at 1pm and entry is free until  9pm. Sadie has just released her new album and has been on a national tour to promote it.
