Pedal Along To The UK Handmade Bicycle Show

Screen Shot 2014-04-01 at 13.54.31Thought buying a bicycle was simple? So did we. The biggest challenge we'd ever faced was which colour to go for, and as long as it couldn't be mistaken for a Boris Bike, we weren't too fussed.

So hearing about Bespoked - The UK Handmade Bicycle Show in April opened a whole new world to us. Over three days, the Velopark in Stratford hosts a plethora of stalls, exhibitors, talks and workshops to help cyclists get the most from their bikes.

Particular highlights include a talk by Peter Murray, who cycled from Portland (Oregon) to Portland (London) last year, and Mike Burrows' discussion about the history of the bicycle. Events are aimed to appeal to new cyclists, as well as the more seasoned rider, so there's something for everyone.

There are also a limited number of taster sessions to try out a BMX or road bike in the velodrome. Prebook here.

Now, you don't get that from a docking station, do you?

Bespoked - The UK Handmade Bicycle Show runs 11-13 April at Lee Valley Velopark, Stratford. Tickets are £10 per day or £20 for all three days. Buy yours here.
