Londonist Flickr contributor Robert Timothy specialises in photographing the capital without people. His shots show familiar locations, normally bustling, now utterly abandoned.
The photos have been nominated for a Webby Award in the category 'Best Use of Photography', alongside work by the likes of CNN and NPR. (At least, we think that's the case...see if you can get your brain around the Webby's bizarre website.) The photos follow in a fine tradition of capturing the capital at its quietest, most notably practised by Ian Visits on a Christmas morning.
You can find more of Robert's photos over on his website.
