We're very fond of comedy producer Invisible Dot; they get behind some of the most innovative acts working at the moment. So we're excited that they're taking over a West End theatre for a short season.
Starting 21 April and running to 3 May, the lovely Duchess Theatre off Aldwych will host shows including Adam Buxton's sell-out Kernel Panic, mashing up the internet, videos and reading out internet comments, and we're not sure just how vainglorious Tim Key's on-stage persona will be in a 500-seater venue (worth finding out though; we loved and were disturbed by his show Single White Slut in equal measure). There's also a chance to see Key with his regular collaborator Tom Basden for a night of Freeze.
If stand-up is more your thing, pick from four nights of carefully selected comedians doing character, sketch and alternative gaggery. There are 'Experiences' helmed by Claudia O'Doherty and Joe Wilkinson, plus two installments of Invisible Dot's regular Saturday club night in a bigger locale, featuring Bridget Christie, Kevin Eldon, Josie Long, Cardinal Burns and others.
