AFFORDABLE ART: The Affordable Art Fair Battersea begins today, with 110 galleries from throughout the UK arriving to exhibit art for sale at prices ranging from £40 to £4,000. Prebook, £12/£10/£8, until 16 March

POSTCARD ART: A new exhibition opens today at the Royal College of Art in Battersea, showing postcard-sized artworks from renowned artists and recent graduates from the College. Free, just turn up, until 21 March

VIDEO ART: A pair of new art exhibitions open at Ben Uri Gallery today. Still Fighting Ignorance & Intellectual Perfidy is an exhibition of video art from Africa, which runs alongside The Shell Amateurs, a community photography competition. Free, just turn up, until 30 March

SOUTHBANK TOUR: Get an insight into the history and architecture of Southbank Centre in this hour long tour. £8.50/£7.50, prebook, 2pm

FEMINISM DEBATE: Why Write A Feminist Play? asks this debate between playwrights Abi Morgan and Nick Payne at the Jerwood Theatre. It looks at the social, political and artistic factors of writing a play about feminism. £5, prebook, 6.15pm

DR JOHNSON'S RAMBLE: A theatrical lantern-lit voyage through the literary, convivial world of Dr Johnson's London. £14, prebook, 6.30pm

Good Cause of the Day

Feeling energetic? This Sunday, the Starfish Breakfast Run and Picnic takes part on Clapham Common. Choose from 5k or 10k distances, and your entrance fee goes towards Starfish's work helping children who have been orphaned or affected by HIV/AIDS. The run is followed by a breakfast picnic and family fun day. It's a perfect excuse for fair weather runners to dust their trainers off in time for the summer. Sign up here.
