DEPTFORD, PHOTOGRAPHED: An exhibition of photos by photographer Chris Schwarz that document Lewisham and Deptford in the 1970s and 80s is on display at The Albany from today. Selected photographs will also be the subject of a storytelling performance by members of The Deptford Stories Theatre Company, bringing the history of the area to life. FILM FESTIVAL: Screentest Festival is the UK's largest student film festival, taking place this weekend at London South Bank University. Tickets from £5 per day or £15 for the whole weekend. Over 100 student-made films will be screened over the weekend.
RAILWAY FESTIVAL: The London Festival of Railway Modelling takes place at Alexandra Palace all weekend, with over 100 exhibitors offering demonstrations and advice. £10/£11, prebook

PERFORMER PHOTOS: Shamil Tanna: Encore is a photography exhibition at the Royal Albert Hall of images of artists the moment directly after they have stepped off stage, including Jarvis Cocker, Brandon Flowers and Mark Ronson. Free, just turn up
ECO-FASHION: Camden Friends Of The Earth are holding a pop-up eco-friendly fashion weekend at Red Hand Gallery in Tufnell Park, including vintage fair, clothes swapping, and upcycling workshops. Free, just turn up
