Musical cabaret duo Bourgeois and Maurice launch their very own variety night, Shindig, in Shoreditch this month, billed as "a night of performance for weirdos and their friends".

The talents of Georgeois Bourgeois and Maurice Maurice are manifold — they are cabaret artistes, dancers, rock stars, style icons, social commentators, social media gurus, super songwriters and top notch humans with brilliant and talented friends. Their first mixed-up bill of full-on fun features some of their favourites from the worlds of comedy, music and "performance-artism" (do not be afraid!). The first Shindig in Shoreditch stars the enfant terrible of London cabaret Scottee, Fig in a Wig Rachel Porter, the excellently obsessive Nathan Penlington, Master of the Panpipes Octavio and the Chalkwell Ladies Drum 'n' Bass League. And it's all topped and tailed by B&M's winning mix of biting satire, catchy tunes, outrageous outfits and lizard people.

All kinds of weirdo are welcome at a B&M gig, even you. Just take it easy on the  vodka cocktails or you'll have to answer to Mad Aunt Pam on the door.

The first Shindig takes place on Thursday 27 March from 8pm at Ace Hotel, Shoreditch E1 6JQ. Tickets £10 from shindiglondon.co.uk. Show 8.30-10.30pm, DJs till 1am.
