Graffiti Takeover Marks International Women's Day

Like it or loathe it, graffiti is doing a good turn on the streets of London this weekend. To celebrate International Women's Day on Saturday, Femme Fierce Leake Street All Girl Takeover is aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the world's largest spray paint mural by a team, and raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

Over 100 female graffiti artists, street artists and painters will join in with an attempt to paint the Leake Street tunnel – a legal graffiti wall in Waterloo – which is 300 metres long.

To take part, you need to buy a ticket (£2.50+bf), with proceeds going to Breast Cancer Care. Then, email streetartagency@gmail.com who will send you organisational details.

If your artistic flair is too deeply buried to contemplate taking part, spectators are also welcome, and are encouraged to wear pink in order to raise awareness of Breast Cancer Care. You can also donate to the cause on the Leake Street Takeover JustGiving page.
