Good Cause of the Day

Cinema lovers, get down to the Cinema Museum in Elephant and Castle on Saturday between 10am and 5pm. They are holding a fundraising bazaar, with dealers selling historic film memorabilia including posters, books, stills and DVDs. There is also a raffle and actors Lesley and Teri Scoble, best known for their roles in Village of the Damned and The Elephant Man, will be doing signings and a Q&A. The museum holds many fascinating artefacts of cinema history, and is run entirely on volunteers, so fundraising events are key to keeping it going.

Londoddities

It's Mural Week on Londoddities. Today, we celebrate the Alfred Hitchcock mosaics at Leytonstone station. The 17 installations depict scenes from the director's movies, and below we've included his most famous: Psycho. They were made in 1999 by Greenwich Mural Workshop to celebrate 100 years since Hitchcock was born nearby.
