Good Causes of the Day
1. Help a good cause without spending a penny today. East End pub The George Tavern has been under threat from property developers for several years, with celebrities including Kate Moss, Sir Ian McKellen and (formerly) Amy Winehouse joining the campaign to keep it open. Plans have been submitted to build housing on the adjoining plot, which would result in a noise abatement order for the venue, brining to an end its much-loved gigs and, as a result, its business. You can sign the Music Heritage UK petition and give your support here.
2. clueQuest, the live escape game organisation has partnered with Over the Wall charity in order to fundraise money for summer camp experiences to benefit terminally ill children. They've organised an online auction and the winning bid will get the chance to be the first to escape clueQuest's new game, Operation BlackSheep.

It's the final day of Rude and Lewd week on Londoddities. Our last naughty instalment comes from the ever intriguing shelves of the Wellcome Collection. What’s the strangest place you’ve ever made love? This adaptable couple have selected a series of hinged porcelain fruit for their carnal encounters. No one’s quite sure exactly when or where these unusual specimens come from. All we know is that we’ll be subjecting our puritan great aunt’s Fabergé egg collection to greater scrutiny next time we visit.
