Leave No Bear Behind Part 23: A Medley Of Misery

London's toy animals are in peril. Each night, wide-eyed trusting playthings are left to fend for themselves on the mean streets of the capital. Last week we decided to revive our 'Leave No Bear Behind' campaign, to raise awareness of their plight. Our inbox was flooded with numerous photographs of discarded toys. It is really quite upsetting.

Jeane Trend-Hill was too late to save this poor bear in Wanstead, who's partly decayed and almost turned to stone with the cold.

Fernando Dantas found this abandoned panda in Chinatown a few weeks back. The poor ursine stretches pitifully towards some discarded beansprouts and mushrooms.

A tiger, harshly stuffed into a bucket. It's beyond the pail to treat an endangered species like this. Spotted by Ben in Deptford.

If you've spotted a toy in trouble on the streets of London, email matt@londonist.com with a photo.
