In the heart of London, the beautiful Somerset House plays host to Britain’s biggest fashion showcase — London Fashion Week. It’s glitzy, it’s glamorous and…it’s invite only.

But for the culture-hungry and curious, there is still a way to get a peek behind London Fashion Week’s seemingly impenetrable but impeccably stitched curtain; Vodafone London Fashion Weekend. The moment the last model steps off the catwalk at London Fashion Week, London Fashion Weekend begins in exactly the same space for a unique four-day designer shopping and fashion experience.

The catwalk shows are a chance to witness high-end fashion on the front lines. A different designer will be featured in a Designer Show each day to show off their SS14/AW14 collections — currently confirmed are French designer Nicole Farhi, London brands Amanda Wakeley and Maria Grachvogel, and womenswear giant Julien Macdonald.

Or seek inspiration for your new wardrobe at one of the 40-minute Trend Shows, presented by THEOUTNET.COM. Each one features pieces from a mix of key British and international designers, so you can be one step ahead of everyone else with styles fresh off the catwalk.

Pop-up shops from over 80 UK brands will form an exclusive designer shopping experience, beauty fans can find make-up and skin care advice from specialist beauty teams, and anyone in need of a little TLC can indulge in manicures, massages and other pamper sessions.

To get a behind the scenes look at the industry, make sure you attend the fashion insider talks held in the Vodafone Lounge. The full schedule will be announced soon, but all talks are free and will offer a unique insight into the world of fashion editors, stylists and leading trend experts.

Tickets are divided up into Bronze (£20), Silver (£37) Gold (£50) and Luxe (£130) packages, and feature a range of the above events (plus front row seats, a private lounge and designer tote bag filled with treats if you decide to go for Luxe). Decide what you want to see and choose the package that suits your needs best.

The best part is that Londonist readers get an exclusive 25% off their tickets*, just by quoting the code “LONDONIST” at the checkout.

Next week we’ll be looking at what London Fashion Weekend has to offer those who aren't up for shopping but do want a nosey around behind the scenes of London’s most prestigious fashion event.

London Fashion Weekend takes place at Somerset House between 20-23 February 2014. Tickets cost from £20. Visit the website for more information or to book tickets.
