Alternative Valentine’s At London Dungeon And Madame Tussauds

Laughter. Screams. The Plague. Harry Styles. Sounds like the perfect Valentine’s Day doesn’t it? Well, it could become a reality this year as both London Dungeon and Madame Tussauds host special, one-off Valentine’s events within their world-famous spaces.

Eschew the traditional dinner-and-movie for something a bit more glamorous, with Madame Tussauds’ pop-up restaurant, Loved Up. Held underneath the chandeliers of the Victorian-inspired World Stage Ballroom, diners will have the chance to walk the red carpet and sup rose petal martinis before indulging in a fabulous three-course dinner.

The ticket price includes canapés, a cocktail, a three-course dinner with wine accompaniments, live music by Nate James and the chance to get up close and personal with some of the world’s most iconic stars. Not getting on with your date? Just trade them for Angeline Jolie/Brad Pitt. Problem solved.

Tables will be set according to the number of tickets you purchase so you can opt for a romantic table for two, or a bigger table as part of a night out with friends.

Loved Up takes place on Friday 14 February, 7pm at Madame Tussauds. Tickets cost £69+bf and can be booked online here

OK, so where are those screams we promised? If you want to get down and dirty on Valentine’s Day (not in that way) then London Dungeon’s Love To Hate event might be the option for you. Forget gazing into the eyes of your loved one and bring on exploring the plague-ridden alleys of London in the Middle Ages instead. Romantic.

London’s dark past will be brought to life across 18 separate shows, performed by a talented cast of actors and with some special effects thrown in for good measure. If your date hasn’t got your heart racing already then one of the two exciting thrill rides should get your pulse up.

Laughing, cajoling, running in fear, it’s everything a good date should be. This is also a great option if you’re worried about conversation — nothing remedies an awkward moment like seeing a live ‘disembowelling’.

Love To Hate takes place on Saturday 15 February, 6.45pm at London Dungeon. Tickets start from £15+bf and can be booked online here.
