LONELINESS: "The mix and flux of urban living in London often presents with a decline of community, or, a mixture of communities divided by race, ethnicity, class, and religion." Good Cause of the Day
Book ahead to join in with YMCA London South West’s fifth Sleep Easy event. Carrying the tagline ‘sleep rough so others don’t have to’, two sleep-outs will take place simultaneously in Kingston and Wimbledon, where up to 250 people will join in to raise awareness and funds for vulnerable people in the local community. Londoddities
Continuing with this week's Roman theme, here's a section of the Roman wall you probably won't ever get to see. It's buried deep in the basement of the Old Bailey (also known as the Central Criminal Court), and is around 1,800 years old. The Old Bailey stands on a road of the same name, which in turn is named after the ancient wall, or bailey, that engirdled Londinium. Image by M@.
