Last year, our quirky walking tribute to Tube 150 was based on a solution to the Every Tube Map Line For Just One Stop puzzle. It follows then, that in the Year of the Bus we plan a perambulation inspired by love for London buses, past and present.

It would be foolish to try and cross every bus route in London or visit every depot in just one day. Diamond Geezer's going round London by bus and the Ladies Who Bus have been working their way through every bus route in London since 2009.

So, we're throwing this one over to you, readers. Tell us your favourite bus stop, bus shelter, bus depot and bits of bus history. Share your treasured bus memories, trivia and favourite views from buses. Got a local bus-related landmark? We want to know about it.

Share your best bus things and bits in the comments, Tweet us @londonist #yotb or post bus stuff on our Facebook page by midnight on Friday 7 February.

We'll map and share all your subbus-missions and create a Londonist misbus-cellany. A suitably quirky day-long walking route will emerge touching as many of your bus bits as possible and we will then undertake the Londonist Year of the Bus Walk on Easter Monday, 21 April 2014. You, bus fans, are most welcome to join us.

Many thanks to the photographers who shared their bus images in our Flickrpool: Stuart-Lee, Adam Lister, Gábor Hernádi, McTumshie and Chris Guy.
