Watch This Chocolate Coin Factory In Action

W+K Christmas Window 2013 from Wieden + Kennedy London on Vimeo.

£1 may be expensive for a chocolate coin, but what if you got to watch that chocolate coin being ‘made’? That’s the idea behind this installation at advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy London’s offices in Hanbury Street, Shoreditch. Pop a pound coin in the slot and watch the machinery, created by sculptor Ben Hughes and artist Joshua T Howell, go through the steps to make your treat. And at the end, you can eat the results.

All proceeds from the Chocolate Coin Factory go towards a new playground for Millfields Community School in East London.

The installation runs until 6 January from 9am to 8pm, 7 days a week.

Well its cute, but i dont think u can actually see the maschine making anything. After entering the coin maschine can start to move but who knows what is realy happening inside. The coins are already made.

Well, yes. The coins are definitely already made. This is an art installation (I’m not sure I’d want to eat chocolate made by artists!). What you’re paying for is the spectacle and to raise money for charity.
