How exactly does it work? When Cardmembers explore nearby locations in Foursquare and spot a Special, they just need to "check in" to the venue and load it to their Card. Once the in-store purchase has been made, they’ll then receive confirmation that they redeemed the Special and an American Express statement credit will be with them in three to five working days.

Terms & Conditions
Cardmembers can redeem the offers above once per brand. To be eligible, Cardmembers must connect their American Express Card within the Foursquare app, or online at sync.americanexpress.co.uk/foursquare. To receive the statement credit, Cardmembers must check in on Foursquare at a participating store, click 'Load to Card' within the app and spend on their connected American Express Card at the location they've checked in at. Offer is limited to one statement credit per Card at each merchant. Statement credit usually issued within three to five business days, but may take up to eight weeks to be applied to the account. Offer is not available on Corporate Cards and PrePaid Cards. Offers are open to residents of the United Kingdom who are existing American Express Cardmembers and whose Card is issued in the United Kingdom.
