This New Year's Eve do you want (a) the feel-good atmosphere without the ridiculous crowds? (b) a variety of live entertainment and performers to choose from? (c) something unique without sky-high costs? Well, if you’re d) all of the above and still umming and ahhing over how to celebrate it this year, then we have a nifty little solution for you.

White Mischief, vaudeville and cabaret party masters, are giving Londoners the chance to see in 2014 at their New Year’s Eve Variety Extravaganza. Taking place in in the lovely Bush Hall — a 1900's vintage ballroom lit by chandeliers — revellers will be treated to an intimate and stylish celebration rather than a stuffed-to-the-brim-super-club, meaning you don't have to battle the crowds to enjoy the company you're with and the entertainment on offer.

And what entertainment. Compered by chanteuse Lili La Scala, the night starts with an optional dinner accompanied by close-up magic at your table, followed by a variety-packed cabaret show. The excellent Boy With Tape On His Face (we love him) and aerialist Empress Stah will take to the stage (or sky), as will an assorted mix of burlesque, circus and comedy performers, tap dancers and even a chainsaw juggler.

The traditional midnight countdown ceremony will be accompanied by a “special surprise” (that’s all we can tell you, cruel we know), followed by DJs, dancing and glow-spinning performers right into the early hours.

Dressing up isn’t compulsory, but if you really want to get into the vaudevillian spirit then suits, dinner jackets, cocktail dresses and ball gowns are more than welcome. Just think of the sequins. What’s more, the variety of ticket types on offer mean that there’s an option to suit most pockets.

White Mischief’s New Year’s Eve Variety Extravaganza takes place at Bush Hall, 310 Uxbridge Road, W12 7LJ on Tuesday 31 December 8pm-3am. Tickets cost between £15-£97+bf depending on ticket type. For more details or to book visit the White Mischief website or call on 020 8222 6955.
