Calling all drawers, painters, graphic artists! The Serco Prize for Illustration is open and wants your London Stories.
This is the fourth year of the prize – take a look at previous entrants from last year’s Secret London theme, or the winner of 2011’s River Thames contest – which carries a £2,000 cash pot for the winner plus the design on a London Transport Museum poster, plus £1,000 and £750 for coming second and third, respectively. If that’s not enough, a shortlist of 50 entries will be exhibited at the London Transport Museum 14 February-6 April 2014.
The deadline is Sunday 3 November, so start thinking of the many tales London has to tell. Will you pick a real-life story or something fictional? An anecdote or urban myth? A line of poetry, song lyric or film scene? It’s up to you.
The Serco Prize for Illustration is run by the London Transport Museum in partnership with the Association of Illustrators.
